Carson City’s newest physical therapy fitness center, The Health Lab, hosts ribbon cutting ceremony – Carson Now

Carson Citys newest gym and physical therapy fitness center, The Health Lab, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday at their new location on Cochise Street.

In attendance was Mayor Lori Bagwell, members from the Board of Supervisors, and many Carson City leaders and business owners to help celebrate the opening.

Loren Wooldridge is a board certified orthopedic specialist within physical therapy, a certified nutrition coach and has his Level 1 CrossFit. He opened the business to help people bridge the gap between sustaining physical injuries and getting healthier. For many people, waiting to see a doctor for a referral after an injury can take time that prolongs the healing process, according to Wooldridge.

By taking away that barrier, we can get people healthier without needing a referral, said Wooldridge. Also, working out with people is far better than working out alone; it builds community.

There are currently three levels of membership to the gym: The Standard, Health Optimized, and Ultimate Health.

The Standard, which is $125 per month, offers open gym access, fitness programming, fitness tracking, three group classes per week, a free foundations movement class, free seminar access, two partner passes monthly, and 10 percent off of physical therapy.

Health Optimized and Ultimate Health build off of the standard plan. To learn more about the plans, click here.

Physical therapy is by appointment only whereas, for those with a membership, the gym can be used anytime during business hours.
